Harry Potter Mani / Pedi & Accessories

Hi girlies!!  I am thrilled today to bring you a big ol' Harry Potter post!!  This post includes my HP mani / pedi of the week as well as the HP themed accessories and outfit I am sporting today...the day I've been waiting for for years....Harry Potter has finally reached it's epic conclusion!!!

It was really hard for me to choose what I would do with my mani / pedi.  My first thoughts were either Harry Potter appropriate shades or polishes with appropriate names (i.e. Flying Dragon, I Lily Love You, 3D Fantasy, It's My Turn, etc.).  I finally decided to go with HP coordinating colors.

First, you need the ingredients:

Pedi:  Wet N Wild Craze in Goldmine & Wet N Wild Flirt in Gilded

Mani:  Wet N Wild Flirt in Red Velvet & Wet N Wild Flirt in Gumdrop

First, 1 coat of Ulta base coat, then 2 coats of WNW Goldmine

Love that pretty hex glitter!

....add 2 coats of Goldmine, then 1 coat of Seche Vite

First 1 coat of Ulta base coat, then 2 coats of WNW Red Velvet

...swimming in a sea of glimmer

....then add 2 coats of WNW Gumdrop and 1 coat of Seche Vite

Nails:  Check

Now to complete the look for the day....

Shoes Hermione would approve of:  Check

"Hedwig" ring....gone but not forgotten!:  Check

Recycled Book Purse by Mugwump (again I think Hermione would approve):  Check

Time Turner necklace:  CHECK!!  (I think it's broken, though, my day is still going by agonizingly slow)

If only I can convince my sweetie to take our Malfoy cane...we'll really be arriving in style!!

(I decided for sure to leave the light up wand at home....it kind of has a mind of it's own!)

Hiya Girlies!!  I am excited to share the latest Revlon scented collection with you today.  I have to say, personally I LOVE Revlon's scented polishes.  This is their 3rd scented collection and I think the best!  All of the polishes in this collection have "fizz" in their name and have amazing glass fleck sparkle.

Wow!!  My fingers are mush after typing Fizz so many times!

As you can see, these are on the sheer side, but definitely have a beautiful sparkle to them.  I am looking forward to layering them with my other Revlon scented polishes for super-awesome fruit salad nails!!  

Also, I have to mention, I was THRILLED to see watermelon in this collection.  I have now have scented polish to represent each fruit on my Konad fruit plate (M55)

Brand Spotlight: CHI

Hiya Girlies!!  Another quick brand spotlight for you today.  This one is on CHI.

I have 1 CHI polish that I snagged from an Ulta dusty bin months ago.  

This frosty shimmery beauty is from the Summer 2007 collection and is called Lost My BiCHIni.  

On the nail it looks a little more dusty mauve, but still a vibrant pretty pinkish color.

Butter London - No More Wait-y, Katie

Hi girlies!!  If you read my last post and are on your way to Ulta....STOP!  Check this out first.  The color is not an Ulta exclusive, but the 2 pack is....and the 2 pack is the only way right now to get your hands on it in stores!

For $15 dollars you can get your hands on a small bottle of powder scented polish remover and the Butter London polish named for Duchess Kate!!  This is the first Butter London I am keeping (I previously purchased Henley Regatta and then found a Finger Paint polish dupe with a much better formula!).

Heavenly!!  I can definitely say I do not have another polish anywhere near close to duping this one!  NMWK is a lovely lavender glitter suspended in a cloudy grey base.

Exceedingly hard to photograph!!  Very unique!  I am in love with this polish and I am excited to have something to commemorate the marriage of William & Kate!

OPI Shimmer Into Summer at Ulta

Glitter-ally the Best Silver, Sparkle Teal Sunrise, I'm an Aqua-holic, and How You Blue-In?

2 coats used for swatches....no base or top coat

GTBSE is a fine silver glitter suspended in a cloudy whitish base

STS is my favorite!!  I had to buy a back up of this one for sure!  Gorgeous multi-colored glitter in a teal jelly base.

In the bottle, these too look pretty close, but on the nail they are quite different!

IAA is a gorgeous shimmery blue foil

HYB is a deep dark teal blue with hidden shimmer that adds quite a bit of depth.

Check Ulta ads for sales!  I got these on the 3rd and there was a deal where if you purchase I think it was $17 dollars of OPI stuff you get a base coat, top coat, OR 1 of the colors from this exclusive collection.
